ESLF MARKS WORLD FOREST DAY 2024…GIVES VISIBILITY TO ONGOING GEF-SGP PROJECT ON BIODIVERSITY & TRADITIONAL MEDICINE

To mark International Day of Forests 2024, Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF) as part of the E-WASH Thematic Area of BENGONET, joined Environment and Climate Change Amelioration Initiative (ECCAI) on an advocacy visit to the Benue State Ministry of Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change led by the Climate Justice Club of Unique Secondary School Makurdi.

Donning the customized T-shirt for ESLF’s ongoing environment-based GEF-SGP sponsored project on promoting biodiversity and traditional medicine practice, the ESLF team joined others on one of the highpoints of the visit which was, a symbolic tree planting led by the Commissioner for Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Mr. Ugwu Odoh, supported by members of the Climate Justice Club and ECCAI.

International Day of Forests is commemorated on March 21st annually since it was proclaimed in 2012 by the United Nations General Assembly and the theme for this year is, “Forests and Innovation: New Solutions for a Better World,”
