You have a chance to win N25,000 in our WED 2025 #BeatPlasticPollution Graphic and Essay Competition for Secondary School Students in Nigeria.
CATEGORY 1: #BeatPlasticPollution Essay Competition
How to participate in the essay competition
a. Write an essay of not more than 2 A4-size pages. The essay should proffer the best solutions you think can address plastic pollution.
b. Submit the essay in a word document via email to isea@iseang.org, putting devtrainnigeria@gmail.com and eslf.org@gmail.com in copy. The subject line of the email should be “WED 2025 Essay Competition + your name.” Submit a passport photograph along with the essay.
c. Submitted essays will be published on our social media platforms for appraisals from our followers.
d. The essay with the highest number of positive appraisals will be declared winner of the essay competition.
CATEGORY 2: #BeatPlasticPollution Graphic Competition
How to participate in the graphic inspiration competition
Create a #BeatPlasticPollution graphic that:
a. Illustrates why it is important and/or inspire people to Beat Plastic Pollution
b. The graphic could be educational and/or raise public awareness on the importance and need to Beat Plastic Pollution.
c. The graphic could showcase innovation and inspire an emotional response to encourage plastic pollution reduction.
d. Submit your graphic in a PNG format via email to isea@iseang.org, putting devtrainnigeria@gmail.com and eslf.org@gmail.com in copy. The subject line of the email should be “WED 2025 #BeatPlasticPollution Graphic + your name.” Submit a passport photograph along with the essay.
e. Submitted graphics will be published on our social media platforms for appraisals from our followers.
f. The graphic with the highest number of positive appraisals will be declared winner of the #BeatPlasticPollution Graphic Competition.
Prizes
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for each of the categories are:
1st prize – N25,000
2nd prize – N15,000
3rd prize – N10,000
Timeline
· Deadline for submission of graphics and essays – 13th June 2025
• Posting of essays and graphics on social media platforms – 16th June 2025
• Appraisal of the essays by our social media followers – 16th – 26th June 2025
• Announcement of the winner – 27th June 2025
