8 TEAMS QUALIFY FOR SEMI -FINALS OF ESLF FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2022.

Eight teams comprising four male and four female football teams have qualified for the Semi-Final round of the ongoing ESLF Football Tournament 2022.

The female teams are Honey Badgers FC of Makurdi, Logo Queens FC of Ugba, City Queens of Otukpo and Super Warriors of Okpoga while in the male category, Cambridge FC Gboko, Avail FC of Otukpo, Milo Stars FC of Adikpo and Tarka Youth FC have also qualified for the semis.

In Gboko, Honey Badgers FC of Makurdi walloped Charity FA of Gboko by 5 goals to nill while Logo Queens FC of Ugba qualified by Walk Over as their Ukum Queens opponent failed to turn up at the Commercial College playground in Gboko for the match. Milo Stars FC of Adikpo also spanked their Santana FC of Ugba counterpart by a lone goal.

In Makurdi, Cambridge FC of Gboko defeated Young Stars of Buruku 3-1 while Tarka Youth Stars FC qualified for the next round after trashing their opponents from Daudu 1 IDP Camp 5-0. Earlier, Daudu 1 IDP Camp Team defeated their counterparts from Abagena IDP Camp where they had qualified to lock horns with Tarka Youth Stars FC upon disqualification of Nagi Stars of Gwer West for fielding over age players.

In Otukpo, Avail FC spanked Eduland FA of Ugbokolo by 3 goals to 1 on penalties after a goal-less draw while City Queens of Okpoga qualified on point basis after they tied on a goal-less draw at St. Mary’s Primary School Field.

The Semi Final matches of the ESLF Football Tournament which has already entered its 4th week, will take place on Saturday 11th June, 2022 with the Final Match holding on Sunday June 12th, 2022 at the BSU Football Field in Makurdi, the State Capital.
