A.N.A. BENUE HONOURS ESLF’S FOUNDER & BENUE’S FIRST LADY WITH A SPECIAL READING TO MARK HER BIRTHDAY & INT’L LITERACY DAY (ILD) 2020.
The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Benue State Chapter, today held a Special Reading to mark this year’s International Literacy Day (ILD) as well as celebrate the 48th birthday of the Founder, Eunice Spring of Life Foundatiom (ESLF) and First Lady of Benue State, Dr. Eunice Ortom.
The event which was organised in partnership with Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF), which is the First Lady’s Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), the Benue State Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, the Benue State Library Board as well as Radio Benue, was under the chairmanship of Former Minister of State for Education and ex-National Chairman of A.N.A., Prof. Jerry Agada.
In attendance were the Commissioner for Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Ngunan Addingi, the Director, Benue State Library Board, Mrs. Theresa Zamber, Director General, Radio Benue, Espei Ushe Uba, Chief Press Secretary to the Benue State Governor, Terver Akase who, among other guests , were treated to renditions of poems to honour the Governor’s wife as well as commemorate #ILD2020.Also present were a sizeable number of academics, media personalities, A.N.A. members, Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) and children.
The event which took place at the Benue State Library Board Complex in Makurdi the Benue State Capital, also witnessed a reading by the First Lady, presentation of two books by Prof. Jerry Agada to her, as well as a special poetic presentation by a group called “Africa”.
