ESLF FOUNDER RE-AFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO SERVE HUMANITY…CHARGES STAFF TO UPHOLD THE ESLF VISION.

Founder of the Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (E.S.L.F.) and First Lady of Benue State, Dr. Eunice Ortom, has re-affirmed her commitment to the service of humanity by “creating a society without barriers to decent living” in line with the vision of the Foundation.

Dr. Ortom disclosed this during a familiarisation and bonding parley with staff of ESLF at its office in Makurdi.

She expressed joy that both the new and existing staff chose to become part of her team by keying into ESLF’s vision and helping with their will and skills to actualise this vision. “I have a passion for humanity and I know whoever will work with me, should have similar passion for people especially the less privileged “, Dr. Ortom remarked.

The Founder said she was pleased with the opportunity to know and bond with the staff and appreciated the fact that they were joining hands with her to advance the cause of humanity.

She urged the ESLF staff to conduct themselves in a manner that would foster healthy interpersonal relationships and shun negative tendencies that inhibit working together as a team. Dr. Ortom called on all to imbibe the virtues of love and tolerance for one another’s shortcomings.

She reiterated her firm commitment to empower women owing to the reality that women in leadership positions would better promote women-related issues as, according to her, “no one can tell our stories better than we can”.

The parley with the Founder which was very open and interactive, had officers from the various ESLF Thematic Areas and Units such as the Monitoring and Evaluation, Media, Health, Finance, Education and Research, make suggestions on ways of enhancing the efficiency and impact of ESLF’s programmes and operations.
