BLESSING EMMANUEL – ESLF/UNFPA BENEFICIARY
After undergoing the E.S.L.F-implemented programme on mentoring, vocational skills training and psychosocial support under the UNFPA-sponsored Safe Spaces Management Project at Abeda/Ugba and Anyiin, an excited beneficiary, Blessing Emmanuel gave the following testimony:
“I WAS EXCITED ABOUT THE E.S.L.F. SKILLS ACQUISITION TRAINING BECAUSE IT IS IN LINE WITH MY AMBITION TO STUDY HOME ECONOMICS IN THE UNIVERSITY”, BLESSING EMMANUEL REVEALED.
Despite being fresh out of secondary school because she just sat for the 2019 Senior School Certificate Examination (S.S.C.E.), Blessing Emmanuel already has a clear idea of what she wants to achieve in life and exactly how she intends to achieve it. She said the E.S.L.F. skills acquisition training falls perfectly in line with her life’s dreams and aspiration.
“I intend to study Home Economics in the university so after the day’s work at the farm, when my mother told me about the E.S.L.F. training, I decided to enroll because it was it was perfectly in line wit
h my ambition in life. My father also encouraged me to concentrate on learning the liquid soap and Vaseline production as that would help the family.”
She revealed that although she knew a little about baking before now but gained more knowledge about it under the ESLF programme.
“In school when my mates will be celebrating their birthdays, I will be the one to bake their cake and get paid.”
