ESLF Commemorates Int’l Creativity & Innovation Day 2024.
In a bid to encourage and support acts of creativity and innovation in the society, Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF) organised a Science Exhibition Competition between young inventors drawn from different secondary schools across Benue State as part of the Foundation’s 4th Annual Literacy Project in 2019.
The aim was to stir the spirit of creativity among our young ones, as well as encourage them to develop their creative ideas and showcase the products they developed from these ideas.
The keen contest gave birth to several scientific and technological innovations such as the Early Flood Detection Device, the Auto-Warning Traffic Triangle and the Fruit Plucker Device which won the first, second and third prizes respectively among other amazing inventions displayed during the exhibition.
To reward their hardwork and creativity, as well as spur them to greater creativity, ESLF doled out cash prizes to the top three schools including a first prize of Two Million Naira (N 2,000,000.00) cash to Princess Adeja International College, Gboko for producing the Early Flood Detection Device, a second prize of One Million and Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N 1,500,000.00) cash to NKST Secondary School, Adikpo for inventing the Auto-Warning Traffic Triangle, and the third prize of One Million Naira (N 1,000,000) to Ameewua Model College, Adikpo for constructing the Fruit Plucker.
On the occasion of this year’s International Creativity and Innovation Day with the theme “Step Out and Innovate”, ESLF celebrates its first-ever Science Exhibition Competition which showed the Foundation’s support and overt encouragement for innovation and creativity believing that in them lie the solution that could help solve many personal, family and societal problems.
